Mr. and Mrs. Mark Wright

Mark and Jill Wright's wedding was our first reason to take a trip down to Springfield to see the Kershaw side of the family. Izzy did so well on her first long car ride! She woke up once on the way down because she was hungry, and she slept the entire way back home. The wedding and the bride were beautiful. I didn't get to see most of the wedding because Evalee was excitedly chatting through the entire beginning and Isabel started fussing a bit, so we watched from behind the glass around the chapel. Eva and Amelia (or as Eva calls her, Mia) played together during the ceremony and I realized that they have never had a chance to play just the two of them. They squealed and ran and gave each other hugs over and over again. We went to the reception early because Daddy was in wedding party pictures, but that worked out nicely because the Hawkins family got to "ooo" and "ahh" over Izzy all by themselves for a little while :). Eva was running on empty as far as sleep goes, but you'd never know from the way she acted. She was ready to DANCE right when the music started playing. Unfortunately, we had to eat, cut the cake, introduce the wedding party, watch the video, etc. before that could happen. But I guess I'll take a happy, energetic toddler over a screaming one.
We stayed and danced for a while, but after a few hours the lights and loud music were started to upset little Isabel and we left for Aunt Molly's house. The next day was spent with the family at Grandma Kershaw's house celebrating an early Thanksgiving. The dinner conversation revolved mostly around bodily functions, but good times were had by all.
