This year we had a lot of places to go to celebrate Thanksgiving! We kicked off the holiday celebration by going to the annual Thanksgiving meal at Great-Grandma Adams's nursing home. There we got to see Great Aunt Billie, Great Uncle Dean, Great Aunt Linda, and Great Grandma. They set it up differently this year where each family got their own table to sit at, so it was nice. Evalee was an angel the whole time we were there, and her smile brought a lot of joy to the residents there.
We then traveled down to Virden the night before Thanksgiving to have lunch with Grandma, Grandad, Aunt Molly, Uncle Adam, and Alex. Daddy didn't get home from work until 11, so we didn't hit the road until 11:15 or so. Then about an hour or so down the road I realized I forgot to pack diapers, so a 2 a.m. visit to Walmart was also in order. All in all, I think we got to Grandma's house around 2:30 and were a very, very tired family. Luckily, Grandad volunteered to play with Evalee when she woke up early the next morning so Daddy and I could sleep in! IT was fun to see everyone, especially Alex -- how much he has changed in even the last month since we had seen him last. He's turning into such a little ham :).
After lunch we drove back up to Taylor Ridge for supper with the Parcherts. There we got to meet the newest addition to the family, tiny baby Brady Nicholas. He weighed almost exactly the same amount Evalee did when she was born, and it was crazy to hold him and remember that she used to be that size. Eva also got to chat with her birthday buddy, Aunt Lyn, and play with some of her cousins' toys so she seemed to have a great Thanksgiving :).
